Position Summary

The Outside Sales Manager will continue to expand and develop the markets where Cohova Properties already has an established presence. Additionally, this position will uncover and identify opportunities for the company in newer, emerging markets.

Job Description

● Nurture and build relationships by becoming a trusted advisor, fostering positive relationships with clients. Being active within the community by building relationships with the local DMO’s, Visitors Bureaus, and corporate/local businesses. Attending local events and/or industry trade shows.

● Account management by clients relationship development, tailored offerings, prompt responses, negotiating contracts, problem resolution and event coordination.

● Booking assistance by learning our Property management system, sending quotes, corporate or group discount codes, Guiding clients through the booking process, understanding company rental agreements, coordinating with Reservations/Guest services team on addressing clients issues and or special requests.

● Stay coordination by offering additional services such as additional cleanings, packages, property tours and/or special items.

● Post Stay follow up, by seeking feedback from clients, inquiring about clients next stay, and referrals.

● Revenue management by hitting sales targets, understanding property performance, negotiations, promotions and upselling opportunities.

● Market analysis by paying attention to market trends, market history, and market competition.

● Building and managing client Pipeline.

Job Requirements

● Experience in the hospitality industry with at least 2 years of hospitality sales experience or similar field. Experience in the Short term Vacation rental industry is a plus.

● A reliable vehicle in good repair and a valid driver’s license are required to make sales calls, attend meetings, appointments, etc.

● Creating a professional presentation and maintaining businesslike dress, grooming, and demeanor.

● Individuals must possess exemplary email skills and etiquette (interpersonal skills).

● Sales positions are rarely 40 hours a week due to required attendance at association meetings, community events and traveling.

Key Skills

● COMMUNICATION SKILLS, must possess excellent interpersonal skills and good oral and written command of English. Spanish is a plus. Provide exceptional guest service skills to guests and employees.

● ANALYTICAL SKILLS, mathematical skills include the ability to calculate figures to determine the value of the business. Individuals must be detail-oriented. Accuracy is a must.

● Time Management, Responsiveness and reliability. Clients expect to hear back from you in a timely manner when they commit.

● Prospecting Skills, you are able to connect with target clients and build a pipeline.

● Objection handling. Must be able to handle objections through solving fundamental problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 per year
